DC Laws for Youth on Underage Drinking

The District of Columbia has a zero-tolerance policy for underage drinkers. The District’s underage drinking laws prohibit anyone under the age of 21 to possess, consume, purchase, or attempt to purchase an alcoholic beverage.

Anyone under the age of 21 caught driving with a blood alcohol level above 0 percent can be charged with a DWI (Driving While Intoxicated).
